Pastor, Rev. Nathan Sautter

A native of Nebraska, Nathan spent most of his life in Sioux City, Iowa where some of his family still reside.

He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University (California) where he received a B.A. in Practical Theology with an emphasis in youth ministry and Princeton Theological Seminary with an M.Div in 2014.  He spent four years in youth ministry in Lebanon, Ohio, serving Lebanon Presbyterian Church as their Director of Student Ministries.

After seminary he served as the Pastor for Family Discipleship at First Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Georgia and most recently the Associate Pastor for Community Life at Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY for the past 6 years.

When Nathan is not in the office, making pastoral visits, preparing his sermon, or attending committee meetings you will find him at home cooking the vegetables he grew in the SOUL Garden, at an RSL match, or enjoying a coffee or beer at one of the valley’s great spots.  He also enjoys spending time with his wife Joy (a Colorado native) and their dog named Patience.  They are very active and enjoy hiking (they are trying to summit all the peaks in the Wasatch), skiing, and traveling.

He loves the diversity, compassion and warmth of Cottonwood Presbyterian and is thankful to be a small part of what God’s Spirit is doing as we seek to be “In Christ, together, for the world.”
