We record the sermon during the 10:00 service for those who want to listen but are unable to attend.
Below are the sermon recordings and sermon notes from the last few weeks.
June 25: Astounded at the Greatness of God!
Scripture: Luke 9:28-36, Luke 9:37-50
In our passages for today the greatness of God pours out of the stories. As we go through our days how aware are we of the greatness of God? Or do we tend to have some blindness toward the greatness of God?
June 18: Losing Our Lives
Scripture: Luke 9:18-22, Luke 9:23-27
Jesus teaches the disciples, “For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it.” When we think about entering marriage, or deciding to have children we are making a conscious choice to lose our life and put someone before ourselves. Most of us who have been married or had children would say, “These choices to lose our own life for the sake of another are the best choices we have made”. Do we think in those terms when considering our decision to follow the ways of God?
June 11: Trinity
Scripture: John 1:1-5, 14
Today is Trinity Sunday. Trinity is not always a common topic of conversation in church, but it is a foundational belief in the Christian faith. There are three questions that really get at the heart of this belief, three questions that will guide this reflection on Trinity: 1) what is Trinity? 2) how did we come to believe in this three-in-one God? And 3) Why does Trinity matter for you and me today?
