May 14: All Generations Call Me Blessed

Throughout Luke we see the inclusion and essential nature of women in Jesus' ministry and God's work in the world. To this day women do not have the rights of men on many fronts including in the church. On Mother's day as we celebrate the women in our lives, let's also celebrate God's elevation of women through the Gospel story and Jesus' ministry.
May 7: Belief, Grief, Fear, and Acting

How do we respond to the astounding reality of first Christ's death, then his resurrection? When we read the end of the crucifixion story at the same time that we read the resurrection story we realize that the people who were there reacted diversely, How do you respond to the reality of Christ's death and resurrection?
April 23: Slow of Heart
Scripture: Psalm 116:12-19, Luke 24:13-27, Luke 24:28-35
Jesus describes the two disciples on the road to Emmaus as "slow of heart." Faith involves both our head and our heart, but often it is our heart that is the slowest to turn to God. What do you think gets in the way of your heart turning to God?
