Congregational Retreat

Sunday February 25

1:00 - 3:30 p.m. at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church

We will focus on our Defining Spiritual Practice of Care.  We will break into small groups and rotate through four stations where outside experts will help us consider how best to care for Immigrants/Refugees, The Homeless, People from the LBGTQ Community, and Those Who are Grieving.  We will also have an experiential prayer time reflecting on the art for our next art exhibit –“The Stations of the Cross”.  This will be a powerful learning and growing experience as we begin the season of Lent.

Hanging of the Greens

Saturday, December 2 at 9:00 am

It's time to decorate the sanctuary and prepare for the Advent Season and Christmas!

Join us for a joyful coming together of the congregation to decorate the church and Sanctuary for the seasons of Advent and Christmas.  This is a beautiful time of fellowship and working together, and is a great opportunity for kids to be involved as well.  No doubt there will be a supply of coffee and doughnuts to fuel our gathering.

Generosity Potluck

Let us celebrate God's Generosity in our lives!

Join us for an all church Pot-luck, after the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, November 19 to celebrate God’s generosity in our lives, and the joy we find in responding to God’s generosity with our own.  Don’t miss this wonderful time of being a church family together.  This is also a great time to bring friends. We invite everyone to bring a dish to share. Dessert and drinks will be provided.

Kids Eat!

Children and Youth Service Project

Sunday, November 12th, during Fellowship

“No Child Should EVER Go Hungry” The Cottonwood family has supported KidsEat for several years, filling backpacks with food items for children who go hungry on the weekends. Currently the KidsEat Program is providing up to 2000 meals each week so hungry children in Salt Lake Valley have food for the weekend. One in five children in the Salt Lake Valley is going home to no food. While there are several worthy programs helping feed our hungry children and the homeless, the unmet needs of many children continues to be widespread and ongoing. This is shocking! We need to help supply these at-risk children with their nutritional needs. Please join the children & youth in the gym on Sunday November 12th during fellowship hour to fill 50 packs. The Discipleship Ministry Team hopes you will get involved and support this much needed service.
