Dave and Dorothy Crockett will be moving and relocating to the Seattle area sometime in November. They will be living in a new retirement community in Des Moines, a close distance from their son Charlie and are looking forward to their new adventure. Davey is Pastor Emeritus at Cottonwood, serving as Pastor here for over 17 years. He retired in 2003 from Cottonwood and served other congregations in St. George, Cedar City, and Springville, Utah. Dorothy sang for many years in the choir and served as a church officer while they were at CPC.  Please join in wishing them well and much joy in their new home.

PEACE & GLOBAL WITNESS OFFERING - A gift to the Peace & Global Witness Offering enables the church to promote the Peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice across the world. Individual congregations are encouraged to utilize up to 25% of this Offering to connect with the global witness of Christ's peace. Mid councils retain an additional 25% for ministries of peace and reconciliation. The remaining 50% is used by the Presbyterian Mission Agency to advocate for peace and justice in cultures of violence, including our own, through collaborative projects of education and Christian witness.

KidsEat - Thank you from Cottonwood Kids

Where better to learn about mission than at church!!

Sharing of our love, sharing of our gifts, and joy in giving was the lesson the children discussed during church school. The children decorated cards with those words which went to each child in their back packs. Following service the children gathered in the gym to fill 60 back packs for their KidsEat mission project. There was a large participation on the part of the children’s parents and church family filling bags together. It is with gratitude that the children thank you.  Lessons were learned that their efforts and contributions big or small do make a meaningful impact on hunger and poverty. Wonderful comments were generated on their feelings of why we do mission and how it may make others feel who receive their gifts.

Do things without people knowing- being humble.

 Do something nice for others.

Helping my mommy.

Working for God.

Make them feel happy

A surprise and surprises are fun!!!

We hope you find reward and satisfaction in knowing you are helping to bring an end to poverty one day.

We will start the evening off with a tasty dinner for everyone in the Fellowship Hall.

Then we will have a fun movie for the kids in one of the classrooms (as well as nursery care available for the little ones).

For the parents, we will have a special program in the Fellowship Hall! We plan to have an interactive night where you as parents can learn about and experience the various programs and opportunities that we have at Cottonwood for children and youth.

The Discipleship Ministry Team will also be presenting some new ideas for the summer and the upcoming year.  We value your needs, hopes, and ideas, and we would love to hear your feedback!
