Youth Christian Education

As the Elder for Christian Education-Youth at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, I am very excited about our plans to expand our Christian Education-Youth programs. I firmly believe that today’s youth require a spiritual community so they can build a strong Christian foundation for their faith journey through life.  Young people need opportunities to participate in positive, spiritual and social groups where they learn to connect Christian beliefs and current issues in daily life. My own youth experience at Cottonwood allowed me an opportunity to grow, thrive, and develop many life skills, which I use in all areas of my life. The goal of the Youth Christian Education Ministry is to stimulate young people-- spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially to develop well rounded individuals and future leaders with strong Christian beliefs and talents.

Parental commitment and involvement is essential to have a successful youth program.  We currently have an excellent committee of dedicated individuals who expect this program to grow and expand in many different directions. However, we would love to have any and all help from others. Please let me know if you need more information or would like to volunteer in any way. You can reach me at kmcelw@msn.com or my phone numbers are cell - 608-3601; home - 485-1043.

Please come join us and keep our youth programs in your prayers.
